HESTEC 2009 Community Day at The University of Texas-Pan American offered people of all ages thrilling science exhibits, activities and a chance to meet NASA astronaut Jose Hernandez on Oct. 3. The annual event, sponsored by H-E-B, the City of Edinburg and the National Science Foundation, was free to the public. Pictured is Terri the Robot, a fully integrated robotic device by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration project that helps make science education fun.
